What Kera doesn't do here
Things people ask about that Kera doesn't support, with a workaround where there is one.
Notify or dispatch a vendor from a maintenance request
Kera doesn't email, text or send a work order to the vendor you assign. Workaround: contact the vendor yourself; the request keeps the record.
Suggest a category, urgency, vendor or teammate automatically
Kera doesn't triage requests. Managers choose each value.
Let vendors log in, update status or upload invoices
Kera doesn't have a vendor portal. Workaround: record the vendor bill when you close the request.
Schedule a repair appointment with the tenant or vendor
Kera doesn't book appointment times. Tenants can give entry windows on their request; use Inbox to agree a time.
Require approval before a repair cost is spent, or track service levels and vendor ratings
Kera doesn't have repair cost approval, SLAs or vendor scoring.
Let a manager edit a tenant's request wording or photos
Only the person who created a request can edit it. Workaround: add your own photos or notes by message.
Add videos when creating a request
The create form accepts PNG and JPEG only. Workaround: add MP4, MOV or WebM videos (up to 5 MB) with Add photos/videos after it's created.
Upload files larger than 5 MB to a maintenance request
Workaround: compress or trim the file.
Archive an open maintenance request, or delete one with a linked bill or expense
Workaround: close it first, or archive instead of deleting.
Create recurring tasks
Kera doesn't repeat tasks on a schedule. Workaround: create each task, or duplicate by hand.
Send reminders or emails for tasks
Kera doesn't email when a task is assigned or comes due. Workaround: connect Google Calendar or Outlook to see due tasks there.
Turn off or customise auto-generated tasks
Workaround: dismiss the ones you don't need.
Change the property on an auto-generated or lease-linked task
Workaround: dismiss it and create a manual task.
Two-way calendar sync
Changes you make in Google Calendar or Outlook don't flow back to Kera, and disconnecting doesn't remove events already created.
Show completed or dismissed tasks on the Board
The board has no Dismissed column. Use List view.
Let tenants run their own inspection or capture conditions
Only managers capture. Tenants view and sign.
Schedule recurring inspections or send inspection reminders
Workaround: add a task with a due date for the next inspection.
Compare move-in and move-out reports side by side or produce a comparison PDF
Workaround: open both reports.
Write inspection reports with AI, or provide inspection dashboards
Fill official provincial inspection forms (for example BC's RTB-27, or Manitoba's Form 5)
Kera produces its own report. It adds Prince Edward Island's Form 5 to PEI reports and fills BC's RTB-22 final opportunity notice. Workaround: complete the provincial form separately where your province requires it.
Invite a third-party inspector to capture or sign
Signers are limited to the landlord or manager, the tenant and the owner.
Change a submitted inspection's property, unit, lease or type
Amendments change the rooms and ratings only. Workaround: void it (if not completed) and start a new one.
Void a completed inspection
Workaround: use Edit inspection to amend it.
Send a notice of entry through Kera in Quebec or Yukon
Kera can only record a notice you gave there.
Email a notice of entry in Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories or Nunavut, or to a tenant who hasn't agreed to online notices
Workaround: serve it by hand or mail and record service in Kera.
Add report delivery deadlines to inspections submitted before the feature existed
Kera doesn't backfill older inspections.
Recover a deleted maintenance request, task or inspection
Deleting can't be undone in the app. Contact Kera support (support@getkera.com) if something was deleted by mistake.
