How do I archive, restore or delete a maintenance request?

ForLandlordsProperty managers

Who can do this

As above.

Where to find it

Maintenance Request → the request → Actions → Delete

Steps

  1. Close the request first if you want to archive it.
  2. Select Delete at the bottom of the Actions card. A dialog "Delete <subject>?" opens. Wait for "Checking what this affects" to clear.
  3. Select Archive to archive, or Delete to delete ("Deleting can't be undone.").
  4. To undo an archive straight away, select Undo in the "Archived <subject>" toast.
  5. To restore later, find it under Filters → Archive → Archived, open it, and select Restore in the banner.

What happens next

Archive: toast "Archived <subject>", a banner "This <subject> is archived. It stays out of your active lists until you restore it." Restore: toast "Restored <subject>". Delete: toast "Deleted <subject>" and you return to the list.

Good to know

An archived request's dialog offers only Cancel and Delete.

Troubleshooting

  • "This work order is still open. Close or cancel it first." Close the request, then archive.
  • "This work order has a vendor bill or ledger entry linked to it. Archive it instead if you want to keep the history." Use Archive.
  • No Delete button: the role lacks the permission, or you're viewing as an owner.
