How do I move a unit to another building or make it standalone?

Who can do this
Organization members with Edit Properties. Not staff limited to assigned properties.
Where to find it
The unit's page → Actions → Change building, or Change next to Part of <building>.
Steps
- Pick another building, or No building to show it as a standalone property.
- Read the summary of the unit counts, then click Save.
What happens next
"Moved <Unit> to <building>" (or "<Unit> is now a standalone property"). Only the building link changes. The owner, contract, leases, history and address stay. Both buildings' unit counts update.
Limits
- You can't move a unit into a building that already has that unit number (archived units count).
- Archived buildings can't be picked, and archived properties can't be moved.
- To put a standalone property into a building, use Add to a building instead.
Troubleshooting
"Unit X is already in <building>.": renumber or archive the clashing unit first.
