How do I add a building's condo documents?
ForProperty managers
Who can do this
Organization members with Upload Documents. Not staff limited to assigned properties.
Where to find it
Properties → the building → Documents tab, or Actions → Add document
Steps
- Click Choose files.
- Optionally turn on Share with the owners of every unit.
- Click Upload.
What happens next
"Document added". The documents count toward your storage. Shared documents appear in every unit owner's portal, including owners of units added later. On a unit's lease, the Is the unit in a condominium? step lists the building's documents, with the declaration, by-laws and rules already ticked.
Good to know
To share or stop sharing later: row menu → Share → Share with the owners of every unit in <building> → Save.
Limits
- Building documents can't be filed under a single property.
- Tenants see them only when they're attached to their lease.
- Owners of archived units lose access.
Troubleshooting
- "Uploaded, but not shared with the unit owners": share it from the row menu.
- "This document belongs to a building, so it can't be filed under a property…": keep it on the building, or upload a separate copy to the property.
