What is the Inbox?

Who can do this

Landlords, Organization users with View Inbox (sending needs Send Messages), tenants and owners.

Where to find it

Side nav → Inbox (/inbox).

Steps

  1. The left side lists conversations with the name, last message ("You: " when it's yours), time and unread count. The right side shows the open thread.
  2. Click Show search to search conversations ("Search conversations...").
  3. A red count beside Inbox in the side nav shows unread messages (99+ over 99).

What happens next

Messages arrive live, with typing indicators, Online / Offline presence and read status.

Good to know

In an Organization, conversations with tenants and owners go to a shared inbox that every member with Inbox access can see, with assignment to a teammate (see below). Team conversations between members are internal.

Limits

Kera chat has no voice or video calls, no message reactions, no threaded replies and no channels beyond direct and group chats. Messages can't be edited or deleted one at a time after sending; only a whole conversation can be deleted.
