What is Fair billing reconciliation?

Who can do this

Organization users with Manage Subscription.

Where to find it

Settings → Billing → Fair billing reconciliation ("Preview or apply credits for unused seats based on actual usage").

Steps

  1. Click Preview reconciliation to see what credit, if any, applies.
  2. Click Apply credits to issue it.

What happens next

The toast Reconciliation preview or Seats reconciled carries Kera's message about the result. When your Stripe account holds a credit, Available credits: $X is shown.

Limits

One credit per billing period. A credit can only be calculated once Kera has recorded seat usage for the subscription.

Troubleshooting

  • "Seat usage hasn't been recorded for this subscription yet, so a Fair Billing credit can't be calculated.": no credit can be issued yet.
  • "A Fair Billing credit has already been issued for this billing period.": already applied.
  • "A Fair Billing credit for this billing period is being checked by support. Please contact support before trying again.": contact Kera support; don't retry.
  • Couldn't preview reconciliation / Couldn't reconcile seats: try again later.
