How do I add or remove seats?

Who can do this

Organization users with Manage Subscription.

Where to find it

Settings → Billing → Manage seats, or Settings → Members → Add more seats.

Steps

Open Settings → Billing. Manage seats shows "You are using N of M seats".
Use the minus or plus button to set the new seat count.
Click Update.

What happens next

The toast Seats updated ("Your plan now has N seats.") appears and the seat count changes. Stripe prorates the change on your bill.

Limits

Update stays disabled while the count is unchanged or lower than the number of active members. To go below that, remove members first. Removing a member doesn't reduce your seat count on its own; lower the seats here afterwards.

Troubleshooting

Couldn't update seats: nothing changed; try again.
