How do I save a value from the Ontario form for future leases?
ForLandlordsProperty managers
Who can do this
Landlord, Organization admin, Organization members with Edit Leases (members limited to assigned properties save for that property only).
Where to find it
The Prepare editor on a filled Ontario Standard Lease.
Steps
- In Prepare, type a value into a form box (for example Parking) or tick a utility box.
- Select the field and choose Use on future documents in its toolbar.
- A toast reads "Saved for future leases". To keep it for this property only, click the toast's "Only for <property>" action.
What happens next
The value appears in Settings → Leases under "For all properties" or under that property, and is filled into future Ontario leases.
Limits
Not offered on signature fields, dates, names, unit, term, rent or the Section 3 notices-by-email question, and not on uploaded, generated or template leases.
Troubleshooting
"Couldn't save it for future leases": nothing was saved; try again.
