How do I report across several companies (entities)?

Who can do this
Organization users with Edit Transactions (to manage entities) and Generate Financial Reports (to run the report).
Where to find it
Settings → Accounting → Portfolio Consolidation ("Multi-entity consolidated reporting.") → View.
Steps
- Click Add Entity. In New Organization Entity, enter Entity Name, optional Legal Name (optional) and the type (Parent or Subsidiary; a subsidiary also needs its Parent Entity). Click Create.
- Under Generate Consolidated Report, set Start Date and End Date and click Generate Report.
- To retire an entity, click Deactivate ("Entity deactivated"); Activate brings it back.
What happens next
The report shows each entity's Revenue, Expenses and Net Income, then Consolidated Totals (Total Revenue, Total Expenses, Net Income, Trust Liability). Entries not tied to an active entity appear in an Unassigned row.
Limits
Landlords don't have entities. Kera doesn't do inter-company eliminations.
