How do I record a rent payment from the lease page?

Who can do this
Landlord, Organization admin, Organization members with Create Transactions.
Where to find it
Lease page → Actions → Record rent payment.
Steps
- The Record rent payment composer opens full page with the lease already chosen.
- Which month does it pay?: pick the month (or a Statement period).
- Enter the amount and payment date, then How was it paid? (payment method, Reference Number) and an optional memo.
- Click Record $<amount>.
What happens next
Toast "Rent payment recorded". The payment shows on the tenant's Payments tab and in Accounting. The full article is in chapter 10.
Good to know
Give rent credit appears in Actions when a month is open that Stripe doesn't bill.
