How do I mark a lease as month-to-month, or back to a fixed term?

Who can do this

Landlord, Organization admin, Organization members who can see the lease's Actions.

Where to find it

Lease page → Actions → Mark as month-to-month (or Mark as fixed term).

Steps

  1. Click Mark as month-to-month.
  2. Toast "Lease marked month-to-month" with Undo. A Month-to-month badge appears on the lease.
  3. To reverse it, click Mark as fixed term (toast "Lease marked fixed term").

Limits

Not offered on Terminated, Expired, Cancelled or Rejected leases. Marking a lease month-to-month records how Kera treats the tenancy; it doesn't send anything to the tenant.

Troubleshooting

"Couldn't change lease term": try again.
