How do I link an owner to a property?

Who can do this

Organization admins and members who can edit properties or owners. Landlords don't have owners.

Where to find it

Property → Actions → Add owners, or Owners tab → Add owner / "+".

Steps

Select Add owners (or Add owner on the empty Owners tab, or "+" when owners are already linked). The "Add owner" picker opens.
Type in Search owners…, tick one or more owners, and select Add.
To create a new owner instead, choose Add new. The Add owner composer opens with this property already selected.

What happens next

The Owners tab lists the owner with their status and email, and the owner's page lists the property. Once the owner has joined, they see the property in their owner portal. Linking an owner doesn't create a contract; add contract details next.

Limits

The picker shows the five most recent matches; type part of the name to find others.

Troubleshooting

"Couldn't link owners": nothing was linked. If it repeats, ask your admin to check your role.
