How do I generate a lease with Kera AI?

Who can do this

Landlord, Organization admin, Organization members with Create Leases. Available in every province.

Where to find it

Add lease → Add the lease document → Generate with Kera AI.

Steps

  1. Pick the unit first; Generate lease is disabled until you do.
  2. Click Generate with Kera AI ("A draft built from this lease. Review it carefully."). A dialog opens with "Generate a lease".
  3. Click Generate lease. Progress lines show while Kera drafts the clauses and builds the PDF.
  4. When it finishes, a "Lease drafted" toast reads "Review every section before you send it for signature." The dialog closes and the document card reads "Lease drafted with Kera AI" with "Drafted by Kera AI · <N> pages · <file name>".

What happens next

Review the draft, run Check compliance, and place signature fields as for any uploaded lease.

Limits

The draft is generated from the lease's property, province, tenants and terms. It isn't legal advice and Kera gives no guarantee it is enforceable. A generated lease can't be saved as a template. In Ontario, the standard lease form (2229E) is the form the province requires for most residential tenancies; see "How do I use the Ontario Standard Lease?".

Troubleshooting

"Couldn't generate the lease": try again. Closing the dialog before generating attaches nothing.
