What are lease templates and lease defaults?

Settings → Leases.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Leases ("Set what Kera puts on the lease forms it fills in.").
  2. Under Lease templates, you'll see the Ontario Standard Lease row with Set defaults.

What happens next

When Kera fills the Ontario Standard Lease (form 2229E) for a new lease, it adds the values you saved as defaults (parking, services and utilities, rent discounts, key deposit, smoking rules, tenant's insurance and additional terms). The row reads Your defaults · None saved yet until you save some, then Your defaults · {N} saved.

Good to know

Only the Ontario Standard Lease has defaults. Lease defaults are used only for Ontario properties.

Limits

Kera doesn't keep templates for other provinces' lease forms or for your own custom lease documents here.
