How do I record that I disputed a tenant's notice (Yukon)?

ForLandlordsProperty managers

Who can do this

Landlord, Organization admin.

Where to find it

Notices → <tenant's notice row> ⋮ → Record a dispute (Yukon only, within 14 days of service).

Steps

  1. The row reads "You can dispute until <date>". Choose Record a dispute.
  2. Confirm Record dispute.
  3. When the Residential Tenancies Office decides, use ⋮ → Office upheld the notice or Office set the notice aside → Record decision.

What happens next

Toast Dispute recorded. The end date stands until the office decides; the tenant is told. If set aside, the scheduled end and move-out tasks are removed and the tenancy carries on. If upheld, the end date stays.

Limits

Kera doesn't file the dispute with the office; it records that you did. Not offered in other provinces or after the deadline.
