How do I record a deposit the owner holds?

Who can do this

Organization admin (and members with Create Transactions), on a property with an active owner contract.

Where to find it

Lease page → Actions → Deposit → Where is the deposit held?

Steps

In Who has the deposit?, pick The owner has it ("Tracked against the lease. Nothing is posted to your trust account.").
The step shows Held by <owner> and the date the tenant paid it.
Click Record deposit.

What happens next

Toast "Deposit recorded as held by the owner". The deposit card shows a "Held by owner" badge. Kera keeps tracking interest and the return deadline, but posts nothing to your trust account.

Limits

Not offered to solo Landlords or on properties without an active owner contract. A second last month's rent payment must be recorded the same way as the first (both owner-held or both in trust).
