Someone changed my sign-in email. How do I get my account back?

ForProperty owners

Who can do this

The account owner, using the email address the account had before the change.

Where to find it

The "Your Kera sign-in email was changed" email sent to the previous address, button Restore previous email.

Steps

  1. Open the email in the old inbox and click Restore previous email. The link works for 3 days.
  2. The page shows Your sign-in email was restored. Click Go to sign in.
  3. Open the "Your Kera sign-in email was restored" email and click Set a new password. Do this first, so only you can get back in.
  4. Sign in with your old email and the new password.

What happens next

The account signs in with the old email again, and every session on the account is signed out. The new email no longer signs in. Settings → Profile shows the old email.

Troubleshooting

  • This link is invalid: the link is older than 3 days, was already used, or the email was changed again after it. Contact Kera support (support@getkera.com).
  • We couldn't restore your email ("Your previous email now belongs to another Kera account. Contact support@getkera.com to get back into your account."): another account now uses the old email. Contact Kera support.
