How do I sign on a phone?
ForLandlordsProperty managersTenantsProperty owners
Who can do this
Any signer.
Where to find it
The signing editor on a phone.
Steps
- The document opens in Mobile friendly: the text reflows to fit the screen and each field is full width. A toggle under the header switches between Mobile friendly and Original; entries carry over.
- The bar at the bottom shows progress ("<n> left", "Field <i> of <total>") with Previous, Next and Finish. At a signature, draw or type and adopt it.
- Finish shows "Review the original document" in the original layout with your entries. Select the save button (for example Submit signature) to sign, or Back to edit.
What happens next
The signed document is always the original layout.
Good to know
Tablets open in Original with Mobile friendly one tap away. Desktops have no toggle. Some documents, often scanned PDFs, can't be reflowed: "This document can't be shown in mobile-friendly view." They sign in the original layout with page buttons and Progress.
