How do I have Kera fill in PEI Form 8?

ForLandlordsProperty managers

Who can do this

Landlord, Organization admin, Organization members with Edit Leases.

Where to find it

The rent increase composer on a Prince Edward Island lease.

Steps

  1. Enter a new rent at or below the year's allowable increase.
  2. Choose Kera fills in Form 8: Tenant Notice of Annual Allowable Rent Increase → Continue → Create notice.
  3. Sign notice: sign the Landlord Signature line and save.
  4. Serve it.

What happens next

Kera fills every blank: tenants, address, the increase per period and start date, the total rent, the increase %, the Director's allowable %, the date, the landlord name, and the phone and email (the organization's email, or a landlord's account email). The "last increased on" line is filled only when Kera has the last increase on record; otherwise type it in the editor.

Limits

Above the allowable increase, Form 8 isn't offered: "Form 8 is only for the Director's allowable increase. For an increase above it, upload the Director's order approving it." If the year's allowable rate isn't in Kera, Kera won't generate Form 8; upload a completed notice instead.
