How do I change a rent increase before it's served?

Who can do this

Landlord, Organization admin, Organization members with Edit Leases.

Where to find it

Key details rent increase ⋮ → Edit, Notices → <row> ⋮ → Edit increase, or Edit the increase on the composer's locked steps.

Steps

  1. Open edit. The composer opens at New rent and date, prefilled.
  2. Change the amount or date and press Continue through the steps.
  3. Create notice again, then sign again.

What happens next

While being edited, the Notices row reads Draft with Continue. After re-signing it reads Signed again (the same row). The old "Serve the rent increase notice by" task closes; Serve later makes a new one with the new date.

Good to know

For an uploaded notice, upload the new signed notice ("To change them, edit the increase and upload the new signed notice.").

Limits

A served increase can't be edited or deleted.
