What do the pop-up messages in the corner mean, and how does Undo work?

ForLandlordsProperty managers

Who can do this

Everyone.

Where to find it

Bottom-right of the screen.

Steps

  1. Success messages close by themselves after a few seconds. Error messages stay until you close them with the X.
  2. Error titles read "Couldn't <do something>". "We couldn't reach Kera. Check your internet connection and try again." means you're offline.
  3. Some messages have a button: Undo (for example after archiving a record, completing a task or removing an owner from a property), View, Download, View delivery or Track signatures. Click it before the message closes.
  4. Hover over the stack to pause it and see all messages.

Good to know

Permission errors read "You don't have permission to do this. Ask an account admin for access if you need it." for managers, "You don't have access to this. Ask your property manager to re-send your invite." for tenants, and "Ask your property manager for access." for owners.

Limits

Removing a tenant from a lease and voiding notices, inspections, invoices, bills, transfers or journal entries have no Undo; they ask you to confirm first.

Troubleshooting

If a page fails to load, you get one "Couldn't load <thing>" message. Kera doesn't repeat it as you move around for 30 seconds, so reload once you're back online.
