What are generated files?
ForLandlordsProperty managers
Who can do this
Anyone who can open Documents sees them.
Where to find it
Documents → Generated tab.
Steps
- Open Generated.
- Each file carries the Generated badge, and its details show Source "Generated · <type>".
What happens next
Kera adds these automatically:
- Served notices ("<form name>.pdf") and their certificates ("Certificate of Service - <form name>.pdf").
- Inspection reports ("<Move-in|Move-out|Routine|General> inspection report.pdf").
- Signed agreements from completed e-signing ("Signed lease agreement.pdf", or "Signed - <document name>.pdf").
- Owner statements, under their download name.
Each is linked to its lease or property where it has one.
Good to know
- When a notice is signed after it was generated, or an inspection report is regenerated or signed, the same entry updates to the latest copy; no second entry appears.
- Generated files appear only on the Generated tab (and inside any folder you move them to), not at the top level of Files.
- With none yet: "Notices, inspection reports, signed agreements and owner statements that Kera creates appear here."
Limits
Generated files are read-only: Open, Download, Select, Details, Move, Share and Archive only. They can't be renamed, relinked or deleted. Archiving one doesn't affect the notice, report or statement it came from. Deleting an inspection removes its report entry; restoring the inspection brings it back.
