How do I upload several files at once?

ForLandlordsProperty managers

Who can do this

Landlords, Organization admins, members with Upload Documents. Needs an active subscription.

Where to find it

Documents → Files tab (top level or inside a folder).

Steps

  1. Select the files on your computer and drag them onto the open area of the Documents page, or onto a folder row or card.
  2. The overlay reads "Drop files to upload to Files" (or "…to <folder name>"). Drop them.
  3. Watch the tray in the bottom-right corner: "Uploading <n> files", then "<n> files uploaded". Use Hide uploads to collapse it or Close uploads to dismiss it.

What happens next

Each file is stored with its own name and size. Two files with the same name are both kept; neither overwrites the other. Dropped files have no property link and are not shared, unless the page is filtered to exactly one property (next article).

Limits

Drag and drop doesn't work on the Recent, Generated, Shared or Archived tabs, inside an archived folder, or without Upload Documents. On phones and tablets without drag and drop, upload one file at a time with Upload files.

Troubleshooting

A file that fails shows its reason in the tray ("This file type isn't supported." or "Files can be at most 25 MB."), and the headline reads "<n> file(s) didn't upload". The other files still upload. Zip files are not accepted.
